How to Apply to
Oasis for Girls

We're so happy you're interested in participating in Oasis for Girls! Our programs help you to develop positive decision making, healthy self-expression, and professional and life skills to succeed in high school and beyond while cultivating sisterhood and leadership in social justice.

Program Cycles: We have three program cycles each year: Fall (10 weeks), Spring (10 weeks), and Summer (6 weeks). All programs (Create, Rise and Envision) are available during each cycle. Students will be asked to rank programs in order of preference on application.

Location: 1091 Mission St. (corner of 7th St.) in San Francisco, one block from the Civic Center Bart/Muni station.

Eligibility: Girls and gender expansive youth attending high school in San Francisco. African American, Arab, Latinx, Native, Asian and Pacific Islander, and low-income youth are strongly encouraged to apply. Citizenship status is not a barrier to joining our programs. Participants in the ENVISION program will need proof of COVID vaccination due to the partnership with UCSF.

Stipends: Program participants will receive a stipend up to $400, $500, or $600 after successful completion of their first, second and third program.

Application Process
1. Please read the program descriptions and decide which programs you’d like to apply to, in order of preference.
2. Fill out the application form. At the end of the form, you'll be asked schedule an interview.
3. Applicants will be notified of their status via email. Although we want to have all of you participate, due to limited space each program has a capacity of 15 students.
