Susan Calderon, Board Chair
Consultant
Susan is an experienced leader in Merger & Acquisition transactions focused on delivering winning strategies for post-merger integration. She has led global integration teams and programs across various technology companies including Salesforce, DocuSign, and PayPal. Susan is a proud first-generation, San Franciscan and daughter of immigrants who grew up in the very communities Oasis serves today. She believes that being an ally is a powerful way to show support, inclusion and provide the environment that young women need to continue to grow and learn. Susan obtained her B.S. in History and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
Cristina Amorim
Former Genentech Executive
Cristina is a visionary executive in the Pharma/Biotech sector. She has 30+ years of strategy deployment experience in global Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Climate/Decarbonization, Sustainability, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) at Allergan, Thermofisher Scientific, and Genentech. In 1992, Cristina emigrated from Brazil to rural Bakersfield, where she started her journey as a Latina engineer. She has previously served on the board of the Cleantech Orange County and was the Chair of the Sustainability Committee of the Bio-Process Systems Alliance (BPSA). Cristina holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from FAAP in Brazil, a MS in Environmental Engineering from UC Irvine, and a MBA from UCLA.
Stara Nunes
Airbnb
Stara is a seasoned marketing professional with over a decade of experience in the tech industry. She currently leads app marketing at Airbnb and has dedicated her career to driving innovative growth strategies and fostering inclusive environments. Stara currently lives in Oakland and has deep familial roots throughout all of Northern California. Stara’s journey includes diving into Women and Gender studies while at UC Berkeley which inspired her to co-organize the San Francisco Dyke March, celebrating diversity and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights. Passionate about giving back to her community, Stara actively mentors young professionals and supports initiatives that create opportunities for underrepresented groups. As a board member of Oasis for Girls, she is excited to empower future leaders and contribute to a more equitable society.
Eleanor Hall
One Wealth Advisors
Eleanor is a Client Service Associate at One Wealth Advisors, a financial planning and wealth management firm. In her role, she helps clients with a wide range of services, from opening accounts to facilitating money movements. Eleanor is passionate about empowering financial literacy among her friends, family, and community.
Eleanor studied sociology at Occidental College in Los Angeles. During her time there, she volunteered with the non-profit WYSE (Women and Youth Supporting Each Other), spending time each week mentoring middle school girls. This experience deepened her appreciation for the powerful connections and intimate bonds that form when women and girls come together to support one another. Eleanor launched Oasis’ volunteer group ACTIVATE, which has made significant strides in supporting the organization's goals. Eleanor is thrilled to serve on the Advisory Board and contribute to the organization from a new perspective.
Georgina Blackett
South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD), Chief of Strategy and Communications
Georgina Blackett is the Chief of Strategy and Communications at South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD). Prior to joining SSFUSD, Georgina worked as a consultant in EY-Parthenon's Education Practice. Georgina started her career as a teacher in San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), where she helped launch the Spanish Immersion program at Daniel Webster Elementary School. The daughter of immigrants, product of an all girls' education, alumna of Teach For America (TFA), and former TFA and Teach for the Philippines program manager, Georgina has dedicated her career to expanding access to opportunity through education. Georgina holds a BA in History from Stanford University and an MBA / Masters in Education from Wharton / the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education.
Dipali Aphale
Dipali is a designer focusing on new product development in AI Hardware and Synthetic Data. She has a diverse professional and academic background, and holds a double Masters from Royal College of Art and Imperial College London where she worked towards closing the gender inequity gap in healthcare products and services.
Her multi-cultural upbringing is the biggest influence on how she engages with her community, and is her driving force to contribute meaningful change to young girls of color through Oasis for Girls. When she’s off the clock, you can find Dipali building brand identities for small businesses, experimenting in the kitchen, or going on a sunset hike.
Maria Latushkin
Maria is a technology and product executive who has spent over 20 years leading Product, Engineering, and Operations teams transforming technology for global brands including Walmart, Peet’s Coffee, and most recently Albertsons. Prior to her current position, Maria held Chief Technology Officer roles at various consumer technology companies including Omada Health and One Kings Lane. Maria came to the US as a teenager and has first-hand appreciation of the impact advice, support and guidance has on young women in helping them forge their path. As a mother of a teenage girl herself, Maria is passionate about helping young women build strong futures and is honored to be able to support Oasis mission. Maria holds a BS in Computer Science from SFSU.
Kendra Prutton
Kendra is the Scientific Communications & Education Manager at the International Society for Stem Cell Research, where she leads global initiatives across academic, medical, industry, and patient sectors. Kendra holds a BS in Biology from FAU, an MS in Forensic Chemistry from Penn State, and a PhD from the University of Colorado. She has held leadership roles supporting women in STEM and education, including VP of Women in STEM at the University of Colorado, Director of Online Education for Young Hands in Science, and Community Engagement Officer for She’s the First. Kendra also volunteers with the San Francisco Education Fund and mentors women pursuing advanced degrees.
Kristen Canlas
Kristen is a Senior Director of Corporate Development at Salesforce, specializing in change management and integration of acquired companies. Kristen holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Management & Organizational Behavior, from UC Berkeley. Driven by a core personal value of community support and giving back, Kristen has volunteered extensively in the Bay Area since moving here in 2007. She focuses on mentoring high school students in low-income areas, particularly young women during their formative years. She is deeply committed to empowering girls to build confidence, discover their potential, and pursue their dreams with courage and purpose. In addition to her professional and philanthropic commitments, Kristen is passionate about health and fitness, frequenting yoga & bootcamp classes, running marathons, and healthy cooking. She also loves to travel and spend quality time with her family, including their son and golden doodle.
Fontaine Schaber
Fontaine brings nearly two decades of transformational leadership and deep Bay Area roots to the Oasis for Girls Board. Born and raised in Silicon Valley, she combines authentic community understanding with executive expertise from corporate tech and real estate sectors. Prior to Real Estate, Fontaine led teams at LinkedIn and Udemy empowering SMB to Fortune 1000 companies through learning and development initiatives that achieved optimal business outcomes and advanced employee careers.Having orchestrated business transformations for thousands of clients, Fontaine is the trusted partner to professionals and families as they navigate change and complexities with the Bay Area housing market, and she does so while keeping people at the center of every mission. As a first-generation Chinese American, Fontaine deeply connects to the immigrant and multicultural experience. Through volunteer community education across the East Bay and serving Bay Area families as a real estate professional during life transitions, she brings firsthand insight into housing stability and community connection challenges many Oasis participants face.
