ENVISION: Career Exploration

Our girls dive deeper into their professional and academic goals while developing their critical consciousness to be social justice advocates in these spaces.

Workshops focus on topics such as wage exploitation, interviewing, networking, code switching, resumes, cover letters, time management, mental health, workplace discrimination, post-secondary options like college, financial literacy, and transition plans.

Oasis partners with the UCSF Department of Neurosurgery and LinkedIn to provide a medical internship experience as part of the program. Girls are mentored by UCSF administrative staff and Oasis’ Program Manager, the latter of which continues on a one-on-one basis after the end of program, to help girls stay on track with their transition plans in regards to their professional and academic goals.

Job Sites and Networking Events

Participants will explore the experiences of women in the workplace and expand their career awareness and job readiness skills while developing an achievable next steps plan to support successful transitions from high school to college to career.
